Manīṣā Pañcakaṃ | तत्त्वमसि

This set of five ślokas forms a part of the Prakarṇa Granthas of Ādi Śankarācārya. It’s said that Śiva himself came in the form of an ordinary person to use Ācārya as the vehicle to teach the lofty idea of oneness. The five ślokas are a reply to Śiva in that form who asks how he would differentiate between an “ordinary person” and others. Prof. Mahadevan has beautifully explained Ācārya’s position here and how to handle situations in life.

The book titled “The Joy of Oneness” by Prof. B. Mahadevan is based on this series of lectures.
